Privacy Policy

This policy covers two things published by PathVale: the TEMPO by PathVale Chrome extension, and the pathvale.org website. We keep both deliberately simple, and this page reflects that.

TEMPO by PathVale (Chrome extension)

TEMPO collects no data, of any kind, ever. It requests zero permissions from Chrome. It does not use analytics, does not make network requests to PathVale or to any third party except to load two font files from Google Fonts (a static, non-executable resource — see below), and does not communicate with any server we control.

The only information TEMPO stores is your language preference (English or Spanish) and whether you've already seen the introductory tooltip. Both are saved using your browser's local storage, on your own device only. This data never leaves your browser, is never transmitted anywhere, and is not accessible to PathVale.

Third-party resource: TEMPO loads font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) so that the extension displays correctly. This is a standard, static font request — no script or executable code is loaded from any external source. Google's own privacy practices for this service are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

The website you're reading this on follows the same principle — collect as little as possible.

Analytics: we use Netlify's built-in analytics, which counts page visits and approximate visitor location from server logs. It does not use cookies, does not use client-side tracking scripts, and cannot identify individual visitors.
Contact form: if you choose to submit the contact form, the information you type (name, email, company, message) is sent to PathVale via Web3Forms, a third-party form processor, solely so we can reply to you. It is not sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.
No accounts, no passwords, no payment data are collected or stored anywhere on this site.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Given how little data either product touches, we don't expect that to happen often.
